Recycling - of water using MBWWT
Investment and operational costs - comparison of a MBWWT method and a „classical" structurally solved biological WWT.
There is given an example of the MBWWT 1200 installation with a capacity of 160m3/day.
| MBWWT 1200 |
Bilogical WWT CFR150/1000 (classical BWWT) |
|
| Investment costs | ||
| acquisition | 288 800 EUR | 382 300 EUR |
| depreciation time | 10 years | |
| interest | 6% | |
| operation time | 7 500 hours/year | |
| flow rate |
58 400 m3/year |
|
| energy consumption | 56 250 kWh/year | 45 000 kWh/year |
| Operation costs | ||
| fixed costs | 0,52 EUR/m3 | 0,69 EUR/m3 |
| energy (0,12 EUR/kWh) | 0,11 EUR/m3 | 0,09 EUR/m3 |
| total | 0,68 EUR/m3 | 0,78 EUR/m3 |
| difference | 0,10 EUR/m3 | |
| Introduction of the MBWWT system will produce saving of 5 840 EUR/year. | ||
| When using the system of water recycling | ||
| service water 20% (0,7 EUR/m3) | 0,70 EUR/m3 | |
| drinking water 80% (1,10 EUR/m3) | 1,10 EUR/m3 | |
| total | 0,51 EUR/m3 | |
| difference | 1,98 EUR/m3 | |
Introduction of the MBWWT system with a recycling unit will produce saving of 121 472 EUR/year!
Note: There are no investment costs for a recycling unit included in the calculation.
Main advantages of the MBWWT system in contrast to a „classical" construction solution:
- "construction" time of the MBWWT is only 21 working days
- possibility of installation even in places where construction of deep underground tanks is problematic ( ground water, rock etc. )
- possibility of simple capacity expansion - by mere addition of other sections
- possibility of direct use of output water for field irrigation
- possibility of connection to the RO unit for drinking water production and creation of a „closed water circuit"
